I noticed a slight leak on the drive this week.
I found that the injector leak off pipes were all weeping.

As a user of veg oil and Bio I know that any rubber pipes will perish fairly quickly.

Ordered some 6mm OD 4mm ID nylon pipe (£1.86 off fleabay)

It was a very fiddly but got the job done OK in the end.

When i bought my rover diesel, the leak off pipes lasted all of 100 miles before they disintegrated. On T2 they have lasted 17000 miles and 1.5 years of Bio/Veg.

How have other users of Bio and Veg got on with their pipes?

New job this afternoon - tinting my windows

I redone my pipes the other month, 11000 miles they had lasted so I couldn't complain.

Just finished doing the tinted windows.

What a hard an unrewarding job.

I would sooner have changed my leak off pipes again lol.

I tryed it once mate, NEVER again it looked a rite mess, I found a bloke local to me that did 7 windows on my lwb for £110,

Luckily I bought some of this pipe when I saw this thread. I've only done 100 miles on svo and I've got a fuel leak. It is coming mainly from around no 4 injector. Is the last one in the series just blanked off or has something snapped?:nenau
Is it a pain to do the one towards the pump? That one looks the worst!

Here is a cut and paste from my other thread for you:

"Here is the link >> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1211051811...84.m1439.l2649

I purchased red to match the car 1 Metre should be sufficient.

Cost £1.82 not £1.86

Removing the old ones is quite fiddly:

Removing the old clips and perished rubber was slow -I pulled on the pipes but they all snapped because the rubber was perished and had to be cut using a sharp knife and wedging a flat screwdriver to get the last bits off.
Throw away the clips you won't need them.
Replacing was much easier.

Don't forget to draw a diagram of which pipe goes where BEFORE you remove them. Don't forget to retain the little blank nipple that is in the end of the short piece on Injector 4 (the one nearest the dashboard) so you can push it into the new piece of pipe.

Have fun."

The short piece needs to be blanked off - just take out the nipple from the old one and put into the new one.
The hardest part as you asked is getting the final return on Injector 1 to the fuel pump. You can just about squeeze your hand through to push the pipe on.

Whilst you have the intercooler off give a good clean through with some solvent or petrol, and always stick a clean rag into your air intake.

If they have not been done for ages, it may be worth replacing your glow plugs whilst you have all this stripped down too?

Let us know how you get on?

Are there any other rubber pipes that need changing or is it just these that suffer?

Just these so far. It was the same on my other car leak off pipes perished quickly other pipes all OK.

BTW I used a heat gun on the ends of the pipe before pushing them on. I think this helped. If you don't have a heat gun you could use something like a flask with boiling water in it though.
