Looks like I have a tank leak on a 2.4 petrol Terrano

Can this be sealed?

Of course it is a steel tank, but your pictures do not show clearly the absolute point of the leak, I would suspect it will be one of the two hoses, if it is not then it is possible that there is a stress crack, if so this can be welded, Rick

Cheers,
So you think it's further up ?

When looking for a leak always start at the top, fluid goes down not up, could possibly be the sender unit on the top of the tank (under the cover in the boot), Rick

More pics
Looks like it might be the pipe by the jubilee clip

I do not know what that picture is, but it is not the sender unit on your tank, it has no hoses on it, they are on pipes at the front of the tank, Rick

That's the top of the tank

You can see the access panel to the boot above it

Please clarify, this is not the vehicle I had in my workshop! Rick

This area here looks suspect.
Looks like it's rotted and some small pin holes are appearing.

The most common places for leaks are obviously any hose joints so i would check the hose clamps are tight and the hoses in good order.

Im hoping it's on the hose at that jubilee clip and running down

Could also be a pin hole in the steel feed or return pipes.
Don't think I've ever owned at terrano that i haven't had to change them on.

Could this be just leaking under pressure .
It's not pouring out

That looks like minuscule pinholes in the tank skin to me, seen a few Terrano's go like that!!!
