Peaks Protest round 4

Have to agree with a post by Buzz, a poor turn out by everyone. Bikes i can understand, but passing 4x4 doing lanes at the same time we are trying to keep them open doing a protest to whats happening is POOR. However, by not giving out the information to evenyone is also a bit, no VERY POOR as well. How do you expect people to turn up if you only post to one site ???

I have spoken to the GLASS rep and asked for the information for the next events to be put on UKGREENLANING to see if we can get more there. Lets see if they come good.

I also agree using the same route is pointless, were not doing anything. Even halfway round people got fed up and drove off to do their own thing, im not suprised either!

A few times GLASS ended up on their own because they did not know people were getting stuk at traffic lights and we were all trying to play catch up.

I know people have other commitments and cannot always turn up, i do understand that.

I hope next time, we can get more there from other clubs and stand UNITED in our fight, If not, lets just say goodbye to the lanes and resort to Pay and Play because thats all that will be left for us.

High point of the day for me was my daughter telling the shop at Speed well caven her sweets where to expensive and refusing to buy them and walking out...Well done Boo, you tell em.

No idea there was another one :nenau or round 4 ?
Can the powers that be just do a mail shot when anything is decided?That way all interested people get a message, instead of relying on anyone remembering to visit assorted web sites on the off chance
I was also a bit confused by the first one too as it happens. There was one story about the council not discussing the closure and another saying the date was moved and so on . Even when I asked on here there was no definitive answer.
I'll try and support if I can and know when it's happening :thumbs

As the other two say info was very poor venues changed dates changed from a rousing of the masses it seemed to loose momemtum

... could it be that there isn't the huge body of support in the country for this protest that people on this site are suggesting?

Don't flame me. Just want to see what your views are on this.
