There are always lanes that are too extreme for a standard truck but I always put work arounds in the route to cater for this.
Very thoughtful [emoji106]
I'm happy to scoot around a roughen and film you guys finishing a section.

thats a good thing as we are always too interested in doing the lane to film it properly.

Nah :lol :lol

We left him up to his funny business in his Caravan on the site that day lol

he would of been watching all the soaps he recorded.hes off touring the country by the sounds of it and doing it self sufficient too. had more solar panels on the roof than enough. with copious amounts of errrm alchol.
and enough veg oil stops enroute to make it free.
top man:clap

He sat out on Sunday as his neck was hurting from Saturday's laning.
A standard truck with go a lot further than people think.
My first terrano was standard apart from the tyres and I did the peaks without any problems or damage.

neck ache? pfft i can understand that. i had a wicked day but 9 hours off roading now im almost the oldest in the group:eek:
I was exhausted and ached everywhere with a slight sea sick feeling chucked in too.
i felt like i had walked snowdon:lol

Trips/meetings

Hi there

We have just bought our Nissan and have become members on here this evening. Please could you tell me how we find out about any events/gatherings/laning weekends etc within striking distance of West Yorkshire.

Thanks

Martin and Rachel

Have a look in the regional forums section or start a post to see who is up for it in your area :thumb2

Food for thought and not a million miles away from your laining weekend just gone, would you guys be up for a pay n play (avalanche adventure)

It caters for completely standard trucks to get nice and muddy all the way through some deep swamps for the extreme :naughty

Of course the area is completely open and no risk of damage :clap

I should note compared to other pay n play areas this one was very chilled and very open, no rushing through with a queue behind you.

Also there is a table and cabin area with bacon butties, teas and coffees, as well as proper toilets.

I think the area can be rented by a club too!!!

Teaser :naughty

Looking good guys, some of those lanes look really technical!

I am hoping organise something late summer, But time is lacking. Will fit it in somewhere.

Will be staying in a bothy like me and rob did last year, Wood burner, flushing loo. Free :)

On Pennine Way, classic gentle lane zigzagging through fields with some tight corners between dry stone walls.

As there where only four of us running on Sunday in modded trucks I tweaked the route to take in the more technical lanes, Saturdays run was a more gentle scenic run to cater for the standard trucks.
Still buzzing from the weekend :thumb2
Not just the laning but the social side when the day was over. Just want to thank everyone who turned up for making it one of the best meets in a long time.
Not sure if the camp site would have us back as once the beer started flowing the laughter from us lot could be heard from miles around :thumb2
