Can any-one help? The passenger window is very slow to go down in my Maverick , not all the time! My mechanical skills say bore a wee hole in the plastic panel and squirt liberally with WD40. Dont fancy breaking studs on interior panelling of door. Is there an idiot proof way of fixing my problem? Alan

:!: :!: STOP don't for goodness sake don't use WD40 that is NOT a lubrcant it is designed to remove moisture. use a silicone spray on the runners even remove the internal door panel and spray the moving parts with a silicone spray

Ducks right, use a silicone or ptfe based spray lube that you can get from most motor factors or halfords type shops. I've never needed to take door panel off, just spray loads in the window channels and then send window up and down.

I have tried WD40 on mine a while back because of the same problem  & found it only helped for a day or two

Many thanks to all who tried to help me solve my window problem...Silicone spray as "duck" suggested did the trick.

The best thing i have ever found is a drop of 3 in 1 in the runners, but having said that Dan sripped a window down on ours the other day and grased all the bits, and apparently there is a little bar in there some where that breaks and makes them stifff, but a good lube up does help!

I will ask him a bit more about it and post some details!
