Hello to all,

The directional blower vent on the passenger side of my 2001 T2, has finally dismantled itself. I have rebuilt it once before, but unfortunately one of the vanes has gone missing this time.

Does anybody have one in good fully working condition that is available for sale?

With Regards

Alan

My drivers side did this, they just pop out, easy 2 min job all you need is something to pop them out with :thumb2

I had mine off James

Thanks for the reply. I have got it out of the dash, but I need a replacement as some bits are missing.

How do I contact James, and what did you pay?

Thanks

Alan

I've got to ring him later for someone else too so I'll ask at the same time

For those of you who may be interested, I have been able to fix my blower vent (again), however rather than use sticky tape, and good luck, I have used some bits of coat hanger... All very Blue Peter, but it will hopefully last a bit longer this time.

The main reason that the vent, in my car at least, fell apart was due to the plastic lugs breaking off that hold the front trim part to the section that fits into the dash, and connects to the pipe work.

As previously stated, I rebuilt all the vanes last time, and tried to hold it together with insulating tape, which I think softens in the heat and fails, which in turn causes the trim part to detach and all the parts/vanes fall out.

This time I fashioned a clamp type arrangement out of a couple of pieces of wire removed from a coat hanger, and bent them to form little hooks, one of which goes into a hole (I drilled) in the trim part with the other end folded around the back of the part that connects to the pipe work. It seems to have it all clamped up tight this time... Fingers crossed.
