Cheers all
I have been using my ole chaps Discovery for a few days while I carried out a few small pre MOT jobs on the Terrano and I am glad she's back. The drive is so smooth and quiet and the clutch and braking is miles better and lighter than the Disco,it's pleasing to know that you are sat behind such a stonking 2.7 engine in the Terrano.
It still suprises me at what the Terrano will get thru and up in the way of offroad work as I visit a lot of farms in the wet and dry most weekends.I do miss having a SWB like my ole Shogun but then I would be lost if I didn,t have the space in the rear for all my gear and friends gear.

Cheers

Nice one mate! Seems you give these cars some TLC and they just go on and on and on and on lol

That's what it's all about....................regular checks of water, oil, tyres and pipework etc goes a long way to keeping your motor on the road.An engine doesn't have to leak oil or water for long for a big problem to arise(I know as that's how I got my Terrano from a mate who never checked the water in it regularly enough and cooked the engine thru overheating)still it was his loss unfortunately and my gain.

Terrano reg 10/02/94 passed three weeks ago no advisorys.

What year did the first Terrano come out?

mot

so if you had chance of a brand new Terrano what year would yo want it from? think of it like selecting a fine bottle of wine.

Hi all,
1997 Terrano and that is the year I would want a new one before they were fitted with catholic converters and still had LSD.

Hi Plank,

This is interesting yours is 2003 like mine is it swb 2.7tdi se as mine is. my diff on the 1997 is a lot bigger and holds about 3 ltrs and the 2003 2.7 tdi se holds about 1ltr and when i jacked up the axle and turned one wheel otherside stayed still on the 2003 model so it is not lsd me thinks.

rustygates.

apparently, there are two different diffs fitted, but they are both LSD :nenau

mine certainly behaves like all the other LSD vehicles i have owned and driven in the mud and i have never heard of one without and LSD. This might be worth a new thread :thumb2
