Hi people,

December 2014 I bought my Terrano in Germany, drove the whole way from Passau to my home in The Netherlands with it (although brakes were hardly functioning...). Didn't realise the many problems I had bought too. Since then, car is in my yard, not allowed on public road because it will not be approved in its current condition. I never did a car restoration before but am trying this one, otherwise I may never have such a great car again. So I did a workshop welding, bought some welding tools - I do the best I can. But time is short, for in two months my house will be demolished - car must be up and running then... Right now all pieces are still apart, the frame is off, engine is hold in it's place by chains and ropes only, drive trains are off, lot of work to do... Please tell me were to go for affordable new pieces like bolts (the special ones) and rubbers? Many thanks for your suggestions!

Milners is good, Rick has many years experience with these motors & I'm doing a rebuild myself (very slow one) I'll help where I can. Lots of the guys on here know their stuff & will help if they can :)

Thanks Rick and all of you for the wellcome. I have now contacted Millner's, first of all for a new (but standard) body suspension kit (they have that) and I am still waiting for their answer if they can provide a new pair of lower link spindles with bushings (those spindles that continue directly into the torsion spring bars) as well. When I depieced my car during the past months I rapidly discovered that only 4 out of 10 body suspension bolts did actually hold the car. And to be able to depiece the front axle I had to saw those spindles with bushings away, there was no other way to get the spindle out of their bushings. Sawing was awfull by the way - but now I will have to replace them.

Koops re those bits that to had to saw through, I guess you mean the front drop links (ball joint at the top and very short downward facing bolt goes through the bottom wish bone, do not think you mean the torsion bars as you cannot saw these, Rick
 
Rick, Milner calls it the "lower wishbone rod bush kit" - they have it, but surprisingly not the spindle! I do not yet know where to get that now. In drawing below I have marked bushing and spindle in red circles:

OK I have a couple of scrappers that these will be on, see if I can get a pair off for you at the W/E, sorry but very busy at the mo, Rick
 
sorry Koops been very busy, yes I have these spindles but as you realise the torsion bars have to be removed to get them out, I have a motor ready for this but still a lot of work and do not know if the bolts will come undone easy or not, so before I get on my back and try to extract these, have you inquired of Nissan as to there availability, as I can see me spending hours removing same? Rick

Hi Rick - please call me Pepijn (my first name). I have not yet inquired Nissan but will do so. Thought you might have a good trick to get these spindles out of their bushings. As for me, I did not - that's the reason why I had to cut them through which was not easy at all (spent days on it). I'll return my information to you soon. Thanks for not having forgotten me by the way.
