They work well where they are and there was no metal bits to drill through. Preparing for the drilling, I covered the area in masking tape and drew all the lines and what have you on.

Hope they help ;)

Thanks daved, much appreciated. :clap

Have just ordered a set (cheers stefan) so will fit them next weekend all being well. :thumb2

That's a good price. I seem to recall both sets I've bought were around £25 ish all in.

When I had a look in Halfords before buying them on ebay they wanted well over £100 :eek::eek:

goodoldbakes

take a few pics of how you run the wires..

Mrs Zippy hit a post at work..

might be worth a pop

i have noticed some kits with only 2 sensors, and some with 6 what are the advantages of more sensors?

would tow bar mounting be an option for any one unwilling to drill the bumpers?

In a nutshell they cover a smaller area. I bought the 4 sensor kit because it was the same price as a 2 and you only have to plug in as many sensors as you want to use :thumb2

I'm not sure what the advantages of a 6 sensor on the back are unless youve got a big truck but on some of the sixes you put two on the front.

One one kit I looked at they went active when the footbrake was used (ie brake lights on) for in parking or slow moving traffic.

On a slight aside I reckon the reverse sensors are superb. They dont replace judgement but definitely help. They also get your attention if something goes wrong.

I was reversing in the filling station a while back and whilst moving and in between swivelling my head one side to the other :D a stupid (polite description) woman decide to fling her car door open directly in my path. The parking sensor on the outside edge immediately picked up on it and started screeching.

Dont know why I was bothered it would have been her door that suffered :augie:lol:lol:lol

I see what you mean dave, so with more sensors you are less likely to hit a bollard, but 2 ok for reversing up to a wall.

what does anyone think of the towbar mounitng idea for those afraid to drill?

Just go into ya bumper ya wimp :lol
Be alot easier & quicker plus they stand less chance of getting hit wen towing or off roading imo ;)

Mine arrived today, very quick delivery but I won't have time to fit until the weekend though. I have noticed that there's no 'scotch-lock' connector included. Am I right in thinking that these are readily available in Wilkos and the like..?

ive a few in my tool / junk box.
even cheaper, had them some 25 years now.. oh my im getting OLD

Hi Guy's,

Just bought a set of these myself hopefully get them delivered before the weekend.

The plan is to try and fit them onto my SWB Terrano T2. I don't actually need a set on it but if all goes well I will get 2 more sets and fit them to our other two cars.

Basically the other car's are much newer so don't want to test out my fitting/drilling skills on them without some prior experience and as the Terrano's only used as a shooting/fishing truck then that's the obvious candidate.

Have read the threads I could find on fitting them and this one especially has been very helpful.

Does anyone have any pic's on how to get the cables inside the car, or any other tips that may be useful.

Cheers
Hewey
