Can you put paraffin in to a diesel engine ?
Paraffin is only £2.95 a gallon around here.

If you are going to try it use a dilution as otherwise you could stuff up your rubber seals in the pump etc..

I have used kerosene (paraffin) in my rotary engine but had to be around 50% mixture with petrol went alright but smelt like a jet engine and went like one anyway

Any more than 60% and it didn't like starting on cold mornings.

wasnt there a thread on this somewhere? i remember one about 0.28 kerosene or soemthing simmilar anywy and it was quite informative!

try a search in the threads

parrafin

been told to avoid it as it burns to hot and can cause quite expensive damage to the engine.can be mixed with engine oil but the ratio has to be pretty accurate to avoid engine damage. :?

Its common in cold environments to add kerosene to diesel to stop it from getting solid, like Antarctica.
