Can anyone give me any info about replacing the NS Outer CV Boot please. Noticed that it's ripped on my wifes truck. Will have to wait for a short while until the project truck is repaired before I can take that one off the road to fix it.

Might wrap some gaffer tape around it to keep the crap out for now, it has manual hubs so shouldn't be turning.

As above, I use Bailcast boots and a Bailcast fitting cone :thumb2

You'll need to remove the hubs, remove wheel bearings, remove upper and lower ball joints, remove tie rod end, remove brake caliper and ABS sensor if it has ABS.

Depending on the age of the upper and lower ball joints will be a factor in how successful you will be at removing them without snapping the bolts. Be advised that if you do replace them, make sure you do the other side too, I found that using different brands on each side of the vehicle not only made it sit weird but messed with my tracking too

Good luck, I'm making my way through all the threads I've missed whilst away but I quickly skimmed your project truck thread whilst away, gutted fro you mate :(

Wish you all the best with it and hope that it's not a stressful and tedious ordeal :thumb2 shout up if you want any info or a chat as I went through this with my Maverick
