Define normal ???

Have you taken the thought that its because we were brought up properly and there are children and not just adults on this site.
Yes sometimes political correctness is taken too far, but in the case if swearing I'm sure some of you have a far better vocabulary that to use such toliet talk, when there is no need, however some of you can't even spell check let alone watch what what you say, so maybe not.

(note to Jace: dont bring the North / South stuff into it, I'v friends all over the world (off & on line) and none of them use a foul tonge on forums)

whoa calm down missy who was on about swearing etc all i was saying is some the lads i know who ive tried to get into this site say its a bit tame one lads gone from nissan terrano to mitsi worrior now wants navara aventura (seen the light lol!) seing as couple lads in ireland just bought that model thought id get him interested enough that way but he couldnt get round the rules an regs etc each to his own i manage fine 99% time dont mean i have to like it though it is bit embarsing when lads you work with laugh at site! we may just be lowly tree surgeons etc but you wouldnt believe how many courses we have to go on latest wheeze is to enable us to communicate with machine operatives! ie shout horrible nasty word really offensive word how sad you are loud!

Don't help youself any do you Jace? It just makes you look childish

COTAG = Community Offroad Transport Action Group.

The only 4x4 response group used by and approved of by the police and emergency services. The Moray group is up and running and the Aberdeenshire group is busy being established. We should be up and running about half way through next year.

If anybody here is in Scotland and is interested in joining, give me a shout and I will get hold of the guys and put you in contact with them.

Its not. Wessex, the whole of Norfolk/Suffolk (under about 6 Response groups) NE and Humber-Yorks all working with blue light services. We're in Emergency plans, sorted with out of hours doctors to provide standby cover if weather threatens let alone happens - even got permission to use NHS logo now and looks like we'll be issued with green lights when needed.

Di9fflock club looks good dont it???
not as good as this one!

I agree with Ladyinred, this club has a very mixed membership I believe and if all the other froums are full of all sorts of bad language and stuff then it can be an oiasi in a winderness of ruffians that many 4x4 owners would find intimidating!

As i said before if we want people to turn up as families as rallies they have to feel it will be a nice place to take the kids and the only way they will feel that is if we all behave in a reasonably adult manner on here!

having re read the thread i doubly agree with ladyin red as i cant spell or type and dont even know how the spell check works

and i dont care

Stand corrected then. I will check my facts!
Maybe this is the reason friends and family call me numpty?

Am i understanding this right, we are to PC?, may be i should switch of the word sensor for a week and see how it goes!, may be no one will complain or comment about it and we can leave it switched off.

I am not going to keep every single one of our members happy but if you can tell me how this is done please let me know.

Do we have to be the same as every other 4x4 club?.

May be i try to hard and too easy going, i don’t know.

P.s. Because some people dont know when to shut up i have lost one of my best members as they have decided to take a back seat, Not only a member but someome that is a friend and someone i feel i can turn to for advice.

Mav.

4 pages and alot of repeating and quoting, i vote close this post!

a shame to close it when Mav has proposed some interesting questions,

Mav, no no need to be the same as everyone else! in fact perhaps it is the difference that is this clubs strenghts!

I see no need to turn off the auto censor as it does set auto ground rules that the majority seem happy with!

Can't comment on the member and friend as not knowing exactly who and why but. i think it can be easy to take things personaly when there is a disppute going on between members on screen, a dispute that like many often sorts itself out given enough time! There are situations that need taking charge of yer, but I feel that some of these have been jumped on a ittle too hard and too fast and it has inflamed things rather than cooled them!

think this then leads to more resentment and frustrations and the issue gets blown out of all proportion when it could have been settled by being left alone! I do have an example in mind but best not to re open old settled issues on line as it would take things down the wrong route.

SIMPLY PUT - just keep going as you are and try not to let the occasional dispute get you down mate, as it is nothing personal

Could use difflock to vent our gutter language then this one to be prim and proper 8) :?: and get good soild advice from its forums and members, 8) i have and can not see me having any real issues with this club, and if i break a rule, i am big enough to take any critisum on the chin, say sorry, or justify my self 8O , and move on :?: -banghead- at the end of the day i have saved my tenna ten fold in advice alone, then look at the entertainment value on top, its extreamly good value.

Exactly Jim and we dont need to swear to make a point, I think if you let it become an anthing goes situation you get dragged to the lowest common denominator. In this club's case membership comes at two prices £10 and good manners, and in return you get sound advice and an non threatening envirnonmnet where you feel safe to air your views, and able take you family to meet other members without oncerns over what you are getting into!

I did already mention this....

Even I can't keep my mouth shut sometimes, its just so easy to retaliate, when you are in a temper, however I have chilled somewhat since Saturday.

Sorry Plank about the spelling dig, nothing personal, it was just a wide open comment.

After this weekend I doubt I will be such an active member on or offline.

Regards

LadyInRed

i have no sympathy for anyone who lets anything as trivial as few posts on an internet site upset them so much they feel they need to exsclude themselves from it maybe if someone did like boggert and robbone have had done to them and put dirty great scratch down side there pride joy i could understand having wobbler but ol addage of "sticks and stones may break my bones" i dunno maybe im an exception to rule or something

Jace, you are a 'one off'

Ladyinrd please reconsider as you are a welcome change from all of us boring anoraks squabbling, maybe you can sort us all out

and my spelling isnt bad it is artistic

I have been offline for a few days, theres no chance I will be able to read this whole thread, I dont really know what happened at the weekend, but I do notice that the rules and rule breaking are brought up a lot in this club and I dont know if they wrent brought up so much then people may just get on with it...................... perhaps not.

navara sight doesent colapse into chaos and constant swearing arguments and i cant remember when mod stepped in and moved/removed anything maybe mods on here are just hermits not living in real world-before i get crusified for wanting to swear etc it is not my intention of going down that road again it just anoys the heck outve me when i have a word i believe is very very tame and everyday word deleted and deleted again like i say maybe i live/operate in such wild places i dont see the real world where everybodys so frightend to say what they realy want to
