The morning after filling my Tank with 40 litres VO & 21 litres Diesel, the Mav refuses to start!
Turning over, but battery getting low!
May have to put my 110ah Caravan Battery on it if I can't figure out what has happened.
If "The Dragon" finds out she's gonna go balistic!

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check battery leads as they break and look ok near the clamps if that makes sense. Also is the alarm allow it to start might be at fault

It's turning over fine, just the more I try it, the more I'm draining the battery!

As for Filter, I only drove 2 mile from filling up, surely Filter couldn't get blocked that quick, could it?

Poor boiling hot kettle over diesel pump and injector pipes

And warm your glow ugs like 5 times in 15 sec burst

Exactly what I do when I'm using veg and the weather catches me out like it did this morn lol, was using a richer mix of veg than I should have been for this time of year and then the temp goes and drops like that!!!

OK, I've put a new Filter on and I'm boiling the kettle?
How do I prime Filter?
I see there's a plastic vent screw on side.

i dont know if the tdi is the same as td but on mine just kept pumping primer till it went hard. primers on top of filter housing

Hey Daryl, you're my Neibour, I'm in Upton, how close are you?

Yep

Some cars struggle on pump diesel at below freezing temps

So there's 40 litres of oil in there, plus 20+ litres of diesel, but I need to put in 2 litres of Petrol as soon as I get room?

If you can and then give the car a good rock!!!

She should be ok if you keep her warm when she's started

HURRAH!
Hot water seemed to do the trick!
Although it took 3x kettles!
Primer pump on Filter top was doing nowt, but after 3x kettles it finally came through.
Let the Glo Plugs work 4-5 times and away we go.
Ticking over outside as we speak.
I'm off for a drive to make some room in tank for a couple of litres of petrol, will it mix OK, just going in on top of all the other stuff?????

Should be fine mate, I've had WVO, SVO, Diesel and Petrol in at 1 point lol

Anyone recommend a reasonably priced source of Fuel & Oil Filters???

I've looked on eBay and don't know which to trust!
One Oil Filter I bought was wrong thread size! Unfortunately I didn't find out until I'd put oil in it and it wouldn't screw on!

I ended up buying a MANN filter at £15.

A set consisting of 1 oil filter/ 1 air filter / 1 fuel filter is £9.

I buy 4 sets at a time to save on postage. I have not found them cheaper anywhere else and if you are running bio or veg you should be changing your oil filter and fuel filter every 6 months anyways.
