As it's my day off decided I would try and find the source of the very small oil leak on my Santa FE.

Removed front lower engine cover tray and as it was so generally swarf covered gave it a good brushing with Gunk and cleaned engine tray as well. All hosed off and clean!

Unable at present to find a leak anywhere so will give it a few days and look again and try to follow the trail.

If it is the sump gasket as seems possible then will get a Techie at work to do it as it's really much easier on a ramp with the front pipe dropped down for easy bolt access.

The Haines Paperback Manual I bought online is very poor its not like the original manuals used to be with lots of pictures and a stage by stage instruction for each model variant.

When I was younger I would have persevered on my back under the car but I must be getting nesh and it was cold this morning as well !

She who must be obeyed made some comment to the effect that "all my lifts do not go upstairs" working outside on a day like today.
