Hello again folks.

My truck has been giving me a few issues. I'm on holiday in Scotland for two weeks with the family.

The issue is stalling, tends to happen after its all warmed up usually, and when trying to set off from red lights, junctions ect.

I have got the fault codes 18 and 34, both point to fuel issues, one being the adjuster (not sure where on zexel pump that is) and the other I think relates to no1 injector sensor? But reading up on here, the symptoms sound like what people describe as the crankshaft sensor. So I removed it this morn and cleaned it.

Is there anything I can do while about 300 miles from home with limited tools?

I would just clean the electrical contacts, see if that does anything, also, where in Scotland are you just now?

Well my first thoughts are the CPS too, I've heard of people cleaning it but not heard of success doing that. I had to replace mine but it cost a lot of money to do so. Clivvy had issue with the sensor plus he also had issues with No 1 Injector so you could send him a PM, I'll drop him a text so he may answer your post today.

Think this could be when you meet other members if they are near you, fingers crossed for you.

Thank you guys.

I'm in the general Irvine/Saltcoats area.

Gonna go to a local eurocsrparts for a fuel filter in hope its that

Hello again folks.
when trying to set off from red lights, junctions ect.

Good Luck, I can't help, but I did wonder if your truck is actually looking out for you, as really you are supposed to STOP at red lights, and "set off from" Amber or Green ones...:lol:lol

sorry, but I think its the CKP sensor mate-the symptoms you describe are exactly those of a failing CKP. I suspect its fine and dandy when the engine is cool, then goes wonky when at running temp, say after 5-10 miles or so?

if youre lucky, assuming it is the CKP, itll be the cheaper more commonly held in stock version-comes in about £85 I think, that's for the later Terranos. The earlier ones, 96-late 97 are very expensive and have to be ordered in from Nissan directly.

I heard primera p12 ones fit, could be wrong tho

yeah you might be right buddy, its the same for the MAF on later models.
