The Bus is about to get a spring lift and i will reindex the front.

so 31/10.5/15 fit without poking out

do 33/12.5/15 fit ? if so by how much ish

extreme is the wheels and tyres man here i think.. hes always got some in the front room to sell on

You'd probably have to start cutting body work, stuff like the footwells, either that or fit big extended bump stops to limit suspension travel.

Tyres on mine measure at 32" and many tyres marked as 33" are actually smaller so you coud et away with les but it all depends exactly how big the tyres are.

Off to work now zippy but i'll sort some pic out tomorrow:thumbs

Had 31x10.5 x15" colways on steel patrol wheels on last t2 without any mods ,just gave wider track due to deeper offset.

Dinky did you sell the T2 with them still on?

perfectly good, i got to say . but my opinion is the t2 mav is a little high and the wheels base a little narrow.

for me i do a lot of exploring , field work and big ruts
following big landrovers so i need height and a wider wheel base for stability

and of course the wider set up is the look i like, so im on a very big offset again and the 35's.

yes i had to cut loads off, more than i would have liked if im honest , it took 3 whole days to set it up with these wheels, but i think it was worth it.
i would have been happy with 33's but i saw these big boys on ebay and everyone said 33 was the max .... so i had to do it to make a point " if you want you can do pretty much anything"
i had it parked next to lacroupade's truck at the weekend and im sure he will agree it dwarfs his truck, and no body lift.

so the tyres are key to your build most things revolve around what tyres and set up you want, to do what you want it to do.... and of course your budget

yeah but mine goes faster :naughty:D
well thats not strictly true... ok it does now cos my rear dampers are completely dead as soon as i fix them... top end i should be faster

my speedo is reading 43 at 50mph

anyone who can work out how far out i am, in percentages ?

under-reading by (50-43)/50x100 = 14%

but, measuring against the drivers doing dead 50mph in the roadworks isn't too accurate as most of their speedos over-read so they are actually doing less than 50...as I know from sailing past with satnav reading exactly 50...

I'll take a look at the make tomorrow when I take the pics, but no nothing trimmed all as standard.
Looking at it some time ago I think i'd get 33"s on with minimal work but and its a big one I dont think my 2.4 petrol would cope well with the gearing change:(

EDIT cause I just remembered the wheels have a 25mm offset

So heres pics of my 31"s they are Technic Trekkers.

The front bumper is cut away not for the wheels and tyres but for better clearance.
I think i'd get 33"s on there with only minor mods
