OK, I've got modest oil blow showing at the ends of both the hoses to the i/c, both before and after.
I'm not quite sure where the EGR system squirts its shite back into the circuit so can't decide where the oil might be coming from.
The obvious culprit I guess is oil seals in the turbo, but is that necessarily the case?
If it is, given there are no other symptoms/problems, is the turbo serviceable as far as seals go or do I need to get a replacement?
If I do, whats the likely cost? No point in buying s/h if a new one isn't too crippling.
If its not, what else could be the problem; its not using oil up at any noticeable rate so I'm not overly worried (plus its the wifes car LOL).....but it clearly need nipping in the bud.
And I guess given the negative effect of oil sludge buildup on cooling, I need to flush the i/c when I do the job - I forget who did it recently but is petrol OK to use or do I need an industrial solvent of some kind?
Cheers m'dears....:thumb2
