Great deal from Lidl at the moment. A 12v Oil Pump, ideal as it has a thin tube that goes down the dip stick tube to pump out excess oil or gearboxes that the drain plug is welded in. Used one earlier this year and it did a great job. Not bad for £12:99

Nice one Jim, I've got a Clarke one. Will work with diesel too, great for priming after a filter change. Just don't use it with petrol!

I already have one of those from a couple years back, used it to empty my fuel tank, works pretty good. :thumbs

A nice steady controllable rate if it’s like the one we borrowed. If I were running a business then maybe a better brand would be better but for me it’s fine. Not thought about filling diffs:thumbs

If its a steady flow and not a torent then would be ideal for putting oil in diffs, it might even encourage me to do it more often :lol the oil for my front diff is still sat on the shelf in my garage :doh

Hadn't thought about that either! Only limit is the range of the battery cables as they won't reach far but I guess you could always use jump leads as an extension
I had that problem emptying my tank :doh

If you've got a 96 then your tank should have a 12mm nut on the right hand side in the centre, you can drain it from there without taking the guard off as well :thumbs

I did not want to risk it shearing as it was an urgent job at the time.

No problems with that one shearing, 90% of the thread is constantly submerged in your fuel, it should in theory be the cleanest bolt on the truck :lol :thumb2
