oil problems sorted

Hello to one and all again,
As you may be aware i had oil problem in the air intake, intercooler.
So i removed the turbo and sent it off for repare to The Turbo Centre Ltd.
Talked to a guy called Andy and he said they would test my old turbo and tell me the problems. Low and behold he said the oil seals were shot, this was caused by who ever rebuilt it last time doing a poor job on the shaft causing bearings to wear and eventually the seals (Exhaust seals were the worst).
Anyway the new turbo is on and so far after a couple of hundred miles no more oil leaks (Hurray). Yesterday it passed its mot the emmisions were great.
For those interested the price was £334 all in. and the service was geat.

Glad you've now got it sorted :smile: The price seem quiet good to me, did they just recondition yours or is it a replacement unit :? But I bet it feels a bit better on the road now 8)

They reconditioned mine and it looks all shiney and new.
It runs great and sounds good

glad to hear that the terrano is back on the road, I may
see it parked at asda when I go for my lotto ticket. Mine passed its MOT to day after a little work but I didnt notice them revving it like the petrol cars to test the emmision bri
