oil leak by turbo

hi has any one had a oil leak coming from around the turbo area on a 1998 maverick 2.7 td it is driping off the top of the oil filter it only seems to do it when i first start it up i have looked and and just can not see wear it is coming from it is driving me round the bend now

Have you got oil at the front of the engine where the alterantor bracket is ?

no it seem to be coming from behind manifold around turbo

I had a similar problem oil was collecing on top of the oil filter. Toolbox told me what my problem was, a banjo bolt secures the oil feed pipe from the oil filter housing to the turbo the bolt screws into a insert in the top of the oil filter housing my insert had cracked.

It sounds like you have the same problem there is a post on this 03.06.08 hope this helps

cheers i have just looked at a other feed and it say the same as your saying i will give it a bash in morning
