Hi... just bought a new oil filter from Europarts and it is smaller than the one on the truck.. it is for a 2002 2.7tdi and the old one is a long blue job and the new one is made by Hengst and is about 2/3 the length??? I am a bit worried about fitting it as I am wondering if the oil flow will be less due to size? called Europarts who confirmed this new one is listed for the T2.... any ideas as I have a mind to go back and try to exchange for a longer one like the one on it now..:nenau

Try these guys the branch at Rochford are excellent

If the small one is suitable, then Nissan would have used it, as it would be cheaper for them. I rest my case.:nenau

In my opinion, they don't have the full range of filters, so they choose the smallest stock to suit as many applications as possible.:doh

The correct one has a anti flow back valve in, I think.

Get the longer one in my opinion. :thumb2

+1 :thumb2

Anything that could restrict oil flow would be bad news IMHO and could even be terminal :(
