Oil extractors

Anyone got one or use one ?

Fancy one for sucking the oil out, save rolling around on the floor, still have to mess about with filter tho so is it worth it ?

If you were doing loads of services then maybe but you still got to get down for axles and gear box so i would way no

I have one, used to use it on the boat engine as no place to put a container, but oil needed to be hot and still took ages, I use it more now for plumbing, but more use full for the car is an oil pump, makes filling the diffs and boxes a lot easier, I have a couple one runs on a battery drill, the other is a self contained 12v motor and pump with plastic pipes about 4 to 5 mm bore, easy, Rick

I saw these 12v oil extractor pumps that hook up to the battery, thin tubes like u say to drop down dipstick, £35 on eBay, might be tempted now u recommend

But I went machine mart and bought a nice 14ltr drip tray this morning, was planning on doing oil and filter this afternoon, but its pissing it down now so inside sat with the mrs having a nice Guinness instead

Just too expensive for occasional use and as said, you still end up crawling underneath to clean up the mess from the filters. Can put more pennies towards spending on the motor instead.
