7 lts if you change filter as well.
I use 10w40 mineral not the semi synthetic stuff.
mine is burnig a bit of oil so I put a thicker grade just to rule that out.
these engines are an old stye so the new synthetic oil/semi synthetic are not as good for them.
a good quality mineral oil is far better in my opinion.
no doubt someone will be along soon to shoot me down and tell me otherwise:lol:lol:lol
Hmm, I'm on 5w30 castrol.
Prob a very long debate to be had here :lol
I run 10w40 semi or mineral oil nothing fancy is needed for these old engines with push rods:lol
Far to thin in my eyes for these engines & i'd get it replaced before the weather warms up:augie hold on a min Alex you must have poured it down the wrong filler pipe 5w30 should go in the rear oil filler pipe where you pour your veg oil:lol:lol:lol
Well when you do change it put something a bit thicker in:thumb2 but you better find out what cake the mechanic who does the job like & get him one because after he's had the joy of getting the oil filter off he'll prob never touch your motor again or speak to you:lol
Could always leave the filter :augie
No change it:augie
Lol. As it happens most of my vehicles turn out to be a nightmare for whoever is working on them :lol (my old xj6 bike, my old slabside stunt bike)
Could always leave the filter :augie
I met a guy once with an old peugeot who had broken down in town, there was an oil spill under the car...
I had a look...
The oil filter was so old it had rusted through and oil was gushing out...:doh
I think the owner was thinking of patching it up with filler...:doh
I told him a new one would be less than a fiver, and they sell them in a shop around the corner.:nenau:nenau
