Oil be back...

Hi, had a smell of burning oil today. Pulled over and found this.

Not the greatest picture and I know that there is sometimes a small weep but this seems excessive.

Any suggestions as to where all that oil is coming from?

Coming from intercooler hose? I had the same a few weeks ago, loss of power and massive oil all over the engine. Cleaned it up, changed engine oil just to be sure, and now no more leaks and normal operation again...

is it the oil catcher on breather.

I'll strip and clean this week the thing this week.


Should there be that much oil? I thought the intercooler was just for air?

Do I need to do anything about the leak on the oil catcher? ( thank you for telling me what that was- I hadn't a clue!)

If I didn't know better I'd have said you'd stolen that picture from my phone!!!!

Mine was doing the exact same thing, not very easy to find at first but it was the IC hose, when I took it off and deformed it in my hands, it appeared that the jubilee clip holding it on had been overtightened and had pierced the pipe causing it to mist everywhere!!!

I've found the best stuff to remove the gunky oil with is this stuff as you can brush it on and wash off
