So at the worst possible time, I got a call today from the outdoor place I worked for as a photographer, saying they don't need me any more:(

so that's driving lessons, fixing my Hyundai and getting a Volvo gone out the window with no income, so now looking for another job or somthing

:doh
:doh

Oh Ryan, that's bad news mate. Hope you get something else soon.

Cheers, I'm going to try and expand my photography more as its not been doing too well at the moment, lot if competition, but, hay ho I'm looking for another job ad I need to try and get a Volvo by selling the Hyundai, originally not too hard is I had income to fix it but not I do not, everythings kinda ground to a Holt :doh

Bum deal mate
Is your dad still "borrowing" your toby ? If so ask him to sub you for the Hyundai project :sly

Shame you are not down here, I would pay you £80 a day for helping with solar system installations, only trouble is it is not every day, but every little helps, Rick

No, I've stopped him as I was getting tired of him taking Toby for granted:lol:augie, and no, dad will never lend my money!

Aye, that's the sort if job I'd happily do:thumb2

Never really done anything with solar systems before, only I made a solar powered phone charger from a calculator and some random bits I had laying around for a science project when I was 14 :D

Only time I was allowed to use a phone in class :lol

Can't sleep as trying to plan a way of getting a Volvo with no money:doh, think I'll just try and sell the Hyundai and use the money from that to get a Volvo, but then there's the insurance:doh grrr

It really is a crappy underpowered car, needs to be red lined constantly to go anywhere

Your thinking too far ahead mate, yes it's nice to have long term plans but i'd just think about getting a run around on the road and a few no claims behind you.

also go for any job even if it's a few hours a week, it shows you will do anything and with a bit of luck may lead to more hours or full time.

I worked part time for about 2 years, had it's benefits but lacked ££. Now I am full time at the place I worked part time.

You seem a bright lad (Although a bit random :D) I am sure something will come along

All the best Mate, Brian.

gutted for ya fella....no easy for youngsters to find work at mo...i know, my eldest is still looking for that 1st job.....hope something comes up for you soon.

Your 1st prority in my opinion is to pass your test.
License is the key to work
My son is an apprentice in a garage and college one day a week . He would not have got it without a license :augie
You can also sign up to "Peopleperhour".http://www.google.co.uk/aclk?sa=l&a...BHour_Exact&utm_campaign=UK_Brand_New%2BPages It's a kind of online agency where you can bid for work like your photography and advertise your skills too. It works and my daughter is on £20 an hour designing printed covers for i-phone fools :lol
Good luck :thumbs

i know iv come into this conversation a looong way in but.... why do you need another car if you cant actualy drive? why not sell the little one to pay for your lessons/ test then just use toby as your everyday car? volvos tend to be expensive to insure (iv had 2) if you want cheap then keep the atos and sell the terrano, there will still be plenty around in a year or two when you have some noclaims bonus. just my opinion of course but one car you can drive is infinately better than three you cant.

Exactomondo :clap

whats the point in a daily driver when you cant drive? and where will you drive to? surely actualy passing your test is the first and most important step, and unless your commuting long distances then surely it wont be cost effective to run two cars. and tobys your choice so sell the other one, pass your test and enjoy him.

I'm taking Toby off the road for a engine rebuild and also chassis/body overhaul, I am currently taking driving lessons and can drive on a provisional, but I was wanting to sell the Hyundai and get a Volvo, as its more practical for my, I could also insure it too, getting a better car for Hyundai money
