if you struggle i will get the locking wheel nut off for you tomorrow.. its easy

edited to say.. if i have time.

I don't need the wheel off till next week ... unless I get puncture. just thought someone might have a set of locking wheel nuts spare with the same 5 point star pattern key :nenau
Thanks for the offer larson. If I cant get one i'll come and see you. (are you a scouser? :lol) I have 4 normal wheel nuts in a bag in the glovebox.

not a scouser no but i do follow lfc... is that close enough?

i will p.m you explaining how its done.. very easy and after you stole 3/4 sets it will get easier:lol

I think ive got a set like that...not sure if its five point though hmmm..

McGard will probably have you a replacement key within a week and you have the key number on that broken socket.
Half the battle might be the wheelnut that's too tight if the key broke.
There are many tools out there for removing locking wheelnuts, most of which we have in my workshop at work!

This one broke tightening it up. I thought they were a good security device but whats the point when you can just buy a removal kit off ebay? because a thief won't carry a seperate socket if they want my wheels and tyres :confused:may as well save the hassle and just put the normal nuts on.

If you know where they are and it looks the same give me a shout. all i'll do is swap them for the normal nuts. If not i'll try it the larson way :sly

Just watched a guy weld a nut on a sheared bolt. Welded on the inside of the nut.
Ingenious
