terranos just had a service and the mechanic said that the rear offside anti-roll bar linkage has slight play in a pin/bush and will possibly need replacing in the near future.
had a look at the downloads section but cant find how to do it. is this an easy job that i could easily do myself or am i better just waiting a while then putting it back to the garage to get fixed?

Easy job

Undo the top mounting first, this is a little awkward to get at, and a ratchet or ratchet spanner makes the job easier as theres limited movement in the confined space.

You may need a ball joint splitter for the lower ball joint (the wing down not hammer in fork type), undo the nut (14mm spanner IIRC), then split the ball joint.

The drop link should ten fall out or need a pull down depending on the condition of the rubber bushes.

Refit in reverse order, take care to get the rubber bushes on properly at the top, the garage that did mine for last years MOT didn't put the upper bush on and it clanked each time the body rolled the wrong way, they didn't notice cos as you do the nut up you come up to the end of the thread if theres no bush there so it all went nicely tight and you can't see up thee to tell its wrong. I just fitted a shock top bush of a Mk2 escort that I had lying around.

have taken mine off completely though now.

Cheers hummingbird, i'll maybe wait till the dry weather kicks in then have a go at it as well as a few other small jobs.

thanks for your help.

If jacking vehicle up to get underneath you need to do both sides equally otherwise the anti roll bar wil be under strain, so best bet is stick a jack under the diff, raise it till theres enough room then stick some stands under the chassis or axle.
