might be a dumb question but I'm sure its easily answered but I keep seeing posts with guys referring to offset, I know its to do with the wheels but I like to know more and a bit of reasoning behind it
 
Off set moves the wheels away from the truck.
Bigger the offset the further out your wheels will be.giving a wider wheelbase and more stability off road
 
You can use spacers.but its preferable not too.
The offset is the actual wheel.
E.g. I just brought some wheels with -38 offset.which is the equivalent to about an inch and a quarter I think?
 
thanks clearing that up, I was starting to think it was to do with camber and alignment which not a lot of use off road hence my confusion

thanks for speedy reply, it that achieved simply with spacers?

And I guess the easy answer to this is yes... But not really the best way of doing it (bearing in mind ive just bought spacers too) :lol
