I have my £7 ODB11 Bluetooth reader connected to Suz's car, and it's happily connected to my Samsung Tablet, and all seems good so far.

Now the question... I have to add a few things to the software setup, and one of those is "Volumetric efficiency".. anyone know what this would be on the 2.7TDi engine?

Also, am I right that the actual Displacement for that engine is 2664cc?

Cheers

AFAIK it is the actual volume of air ingested as opposed to the specific swept volume, so in reality will be something less than 100%. That makes sense for a normally aspirated engine, but with a turbo the VE would have to exceed 100%, after all that is the purpose of the turbo!

Cheers Ray, I have been doing a bit of searching, but can't find that much out about it.

Do you know if it is listed anywhere as a figure, or can it be calculated from data that is listed somewhere?

We know the Cylinder capacity is 2664cc / 4, so logically that is 888cc of space to fill.

Somewhere I found that the injector size is 270 cc/min, but I can't work out how that can relate, as that does not link to what revs the engine is doing, so not sure how much fuel is actually put in each time.

Still, from my tests so far, the program seems to work without this figure being input, I think it must just be used when it is trying to work out the fuel efficiency graphs, which I can live with out.
