Fitted new battery checked teminals

sound like a flat battery very weak on turn over, and the battery after been charged go's flat quick I have noticed when the key in you here a bleeping noise which you only here when battery as been disconected when trying to start the termanals get hot this could be normal because you are turning over so many times Just had MOT off road 6 month but drove ok to test station, its not started since.

If the battery is going flat on key-off then you have a fairly big discharge- glow plugs stuck on, or alternator diodes.

Will it start with jump leads?

More info needed please.

Tested ok he said glow plugs ???

No did try jump leads but only from a smaller car I have booster as which i have used on smaller diesels this did not work.

start motor? start motor cable perhaps? could be burnt out like mine was...

Sounds just like mine was and mine was the starter.

fitting glow plugs

Putting new glow plugs in broke the plastic cap on one plug saved 3 the new plug have small nuts on top to fit too buzz bar is this ok or should i fit the old caps/tops/could cover the one i broke with a plastic dust cap glue mybe.

Will look at starter next I purchased glow plugs last year

I broke one as well, I just used the supplied nut, the plastic nut is to prevent a short if you happen to leave a spanner there I guess.

The bus bar is only at 12 Volts while starting and soon after, not when the ignition key is out.
So don't leave any spanners around..:nenau

New starter motor fitted local garage Mates rates £ 170 Fitted Job done.

Looked on Ebay cheapest £150 up to £250

New glow plugs as well, I did buy last year was going to sell on Ebay cos did not need them in the end.
