Not a newbie, I'm an oldie!

Hi folks!

Thought I'd drop by to say hello, just because I caught up with a group of you lot at the weekend - yes, it was my Discovery on the Welsh laning trip. I've also defected...

Was really nice to meet up with folk - no banter either way, just an appreciation of what our various 4x4s can do. I'm now a firm fan of Staffordshire Oatcakes!

I was going to post on the Welsh trip thread, but I no longer have that privilege, so this'll have to do!

Anyway, hope you're all well - nice to have met some names I've known from here and all the best! Glad you enjoyed Claerwen and Golf Links (was that the other lane you did?) on Sunday.

Too many clubs to join and not enough money! Very grateful to this place for the help I got during my eight months of Maverick ownership though. Massively under-rated vehicles.

Funny thing is, I was a passenger in my old Maverick today! We used it for hauling some logs about because the Disco only managed one trip before an existing oil leak decided to get worse...

Had forgotten how horribly uncomfortable the seats are though! Maybe if it had some decent seating I would have kept it... (and a diesel engine. And more space. And more front axle articulation...)
