hope you can help my friends cylender head gasket has gone mitsibishi pajero 2.8 lwb does any one know the torque settings for the head bolts and if possible any one in the stoke-on-trent area who could do the job at a reasonable price many thanks brian
 
try a member called justinmud, he was saying about mitsi owners club last nite think he has a shogun aswell so may be able to help.
i will have look in my auto data books tommorow just incase its in there!
 
ok acording to diesel data 02 these cover the 2.8td from 94-2000
renew bolts
50nm
100nm
turn bolt 360 degrees (put dab tippex on top bolt and it starting point when your about to do this so you dont get lost!)
50nm
90 degree turn on bolt!
90 degree turn
24nm
the stud tightening pattern starts in middle then goes forward for two then back for two (missing middle two) then jumps back and forward missing the two done last time with bolt 18 being bacck left.
hope it makes scense if not i can scan and atempt to email or even easier fax it!

when u take cam chain pully off zip tie in couple places the two together stops chain droping down and having to fish it out

Not sure if you are aware the third step is slacken 360 deg.
