He has a huge heart but I just couldn't let him do it, I have returned his gesture.

Have a free year courtesy of the club :thumb2

I think its important for people to stay with the club when they are a key contributer (Maybe spelt wrong) and its also important that the club gains funds to keep it going. So, if i may speak for everyone and say, i am more than happy to pay my membership when its due and even more happy for people that have fallen on hard times to get a "Free year" on the club. To be a club you have to be understanding and willing to give help back, this i think BAT has proven! Well donn. :clap

A big bat on the back for bat21 and the unnamed hero!
This is what a club is all about.
Now can anyone help clan out with the welding?
put me down for £25 if we can nail the price to the floor .......... and Bat tells me how to donate .. i forget how i did it for Briggie

I will go with that also, specially as I was unable to do the welding while it was here, so come on members lets help him out, if I can do it then most others can, Rick

i think its a lot better if this is done officially , ie ... donated to the forums account , rather than pledges , then people dont feel pressured to match the generosity of some members and can donate as much or as little as they can afford , then once the required amount is reached , bat 21 can send the funds direct , just my view , ignore me if you wish lol

blasted welding!!

I suggest that when the welding gets done, the welder really does a top job and cuts back to very strong metal. It sounds like the truck is well worth keeping running, so I wish you the best of luck getting it sorted.

Not sure what I can do to help, maybe I can borrow a welder, but im NOT a welder myself...tricky, plus, you are so far away :(

very frustrating, still, I am sure something will work out.

Gentlemen, I am in awe of the spirit of this club yet again. All I can say is that your generous offers have made my day, whether they transition to funds or not.

Thank you.

is fibreglass any good for mending holes ? :nenau .... yes i know im silly , but it might work for little holes

if its structural, and I expect it it due to the MOT failures, then it has to be welded with metal....:(

Well said Briggie, even if it's only a quid, or fifty pence, every little bit helps :thumb2

perhaps i should tell him one of my jokes ? that might cheer him up :naughty

Gentlemen, thank you again. To save any vagueness, I need £300 which will pay for the welding and the MOT. Any surplus monies can be returned to the club account to help the next unfortunate or donated to a charity.

I understand if there is a reticence to donate and expect nothing. Just the goodwill on this thread has done wonders for me. Cheers chaps. :thumb2

Lets get the ball rolling then as I will pledge £10 for the fund to help. With the winter coming I am sure the fella needs the Terrano
on the road.
