Well, it's that time of year again, and I regret that I am not going to be renewing my membership. This is the finest car forum it has been my pleasure to be a part of, but a year unemployed and substantial debts means that I cannot afford my dues. Add the fact that my T2 has been a driveway ornament since early October as I cannot afford the cash to fix the MOT fail items and my membership is, as they say, somewhat academic as I do not have a 4x4 that moves :)

Take it easy, chaps. Have fun.

Jae.

It's a shame to loose members, I think it's time for a whip round, I will throw in the first £1 :thumb2

Is there any way we could do concessions e.g. OAP, benefits, etc?
DIY mechanics becomes a necessity when your income disappears and the help this forum provides is priceless. Don't know how this sits with covering the running costs?
Perhaps we need a club committee?

I've got a welsh pound you can have mate :D
BTW what's the fail sheet like, as I've just bought another truck for spares I may be able to help :thumbs

ill put a quid in too . its the older regular members that makes a club for new people to drop in on . some will stay others will move on , but without the regulars the club is nothing.

having said that, bat21 should have worked that out and put his bit in too :D

Due to the generosity of someone who wishes to remain anonymous, you are stuck with me for another year.

To whom it may concern: Ta muchly. Ya knows who ya is :thumbs

Plank & Extreme, thank you for your kind offers.

Mr Plank, I see you are a writer. I shall give your scribblings a once over if you would be so kind to reciprocate... Just browse around on my site & follow the links...

It's all welding. Nothing falling apart, just bad enough to fail in the usual places. Got a local estimate for three hours, so rounding it up after adding an hour for dicking about and then adding the MOT gives a figure that is doable eventually. If it had been much more I would have cried but sold Mak to a new home.

He has a huge heart but I just couldn't let him do it, I have returned his gesture.

Have a free year courtesy of the club :thumb2

what a brilliant thread! BAT21 is a star!

cheers Clan Wolf I will peruse your work :thumb2

Well done Bat, but also special thanks to the member who was willing to cover the cost.
A great jesture. :thumb2:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

Was that jesture or jester?

:bow Thank you.

That would be 'gesture', Rustic.... :D

A big bat on the back for bat21 and the unnamed hero!
This is what a club is all about.
Now can anyone help clan out with the welding?

I tried, but as you know on your motor it was just too much, and with Swifty not in the picture anymore, I can only offer advice rather than hands on service, sorry but the body will not perform my needs as a contortionist any more, as well as the eyes not being what they could be, Rick

If you can catch Swifty, I'll help hammer him flat and glue him over the holes... :D

I know you tried every trick in the book, and apart from the welding that came from the outfield at the MOT centre when they literally started poking holes, Mak is running like a charm thanks to your efforts.
