Due to my beast going into limp mode at a crucial moment I had to replace No1 injector, the sensor had gone open circuit.
Getting the old one out and the new one in proved to be a problem due to the flying lead of the sensor, I see others have had the same trouble.
After a brief search for a suitable socket which proved unfruitful I decided to take a chance and make a suitable tool myself.
The answer was a B&Q 27mm deep socket for the sum of £5.88 and 1/2 an hour with the bench grinder. The result is below. The flying lead, with plug, feeds though the hole and away you go.
Although a substantial amount of metal has been removed the socket seems to be more than strong enough to do the job. At least it worked for me.
