Just went to start the terrano this morning with 6 inches of snow on the windscreen.
Wipers had been left "on" from previous trip and took exeption to trying to move 25 kilos of snow in first wipe!
The motor now just makes a low "wirring" noise but the blades arent moving.
Looks like there is a link broken or something has striped like a cog or something. all fuses are OK
Anyone got any ideas as wiper motor looks like a pig to shift as all the brake pipes pass across the top of it.
any tips gratefully received!

Sounds like one of the linkages has popped off. Last big lot of snow we had in January someone had same problem so might be worth a search through the threads. Think it's plastic panel below windscreen has to come off and it's a simple nut and bolt I think.

Yep your right the nut has wound off the spindle on the motor but having hells own game trying to get black panel off the botom of windscreen to access the space to put nut back on and tighten up. There is a small allen type screw holding the plastic panel in place and it just seems to be turning without undoing!
