Not sure

Maf unplug if worse.maf is working.

Not sure u can do that with the cps

You can check the CPS with a volt meter to see what ohms it's reading & compare it to what it says in the manual:thumb2 had to do this the other week on mine

Will remember that.. can you remember what the range is?

You got a meter.dan??

Just had a look at my thread (code 21) the CPS should be 900 Ohms at 25'C. The CPS is at the back of the engine on the bell housing on mine & the wiring plug for the CPS was at the rear of the engine on the drivers side think mine was a grey plug if that helps

Just unplugged Maf idling the same but no power throughout rev range when driving

If you do not have a test meter then testing anything is going to be tricky.

Anyhow, as far as the MAF goes you may have some luck if you try cleaning it.
DO NOT poke ANYTHING in it,
Use a solvent cleaner, such as PCB cleaner from Maplin or the like.
Also check the air inlet path, filter, hoses etc., make sure you do not have an air leak after the MAF.

You can get yourself a meter from Screwfix from about £4, or from Maplin for not much more - essential piece of kit for any electrical diagnoses!

Ok just driven into work. It was fine when cold but as soon as engine got warm struggled to get power again! I'm confused!

no not got a meter :(

If you have no meter, then maybe you don't know how to use one.:nenau

However, if you do then the following information may help other visitors to this thread.:thumb2

The worst thing you can do with a multimeter, is to have the connection leads connected into the Amps measuring range, when you are not measuring the current flow in a circuit.

In amps range, the meter creates a short circuit so NEVER try to measure a voltage, when the leads are connected this way.

To measure voltage, either AC or DC or continuity or resistance in ohms, then the leads remain in the same position, and it is always best to leave the meter set up this way, and only move the red lead to the amps socket when actually measuring current.

To use a meter, have a look on youtube, " How to use a multimeter"

There are several videos on voltage, current, continuity etc.

Good luck,
best regards,
Rustic

What year truck as could be engine temp sensor? Not gauge one but one for ecu
