No heater blowers

Dear all

The heater blowers worked this morning - went shopping now not working on any speed.

Just in time for the wet weather

Any help gratefully recieved

update

whilst taking the blower motor out to test it - it started working.
Then it stopped :nenau
then it started :thumb2

Put all back together - then stopped :nenau
shook it and hit it now it works :clap

Has any one out there got an early 1993 - 1996 blower motor for sale :bow

sounds like a dodgy connection somewhere, check all plug connectors first try a bit of contact cleaner, if it was the resistor card you would still have power on setting 4

could be worn brushes on the motor, I will have a look on my Mk 1 soon, Rick

yes I have a good resistor, but look at the two wire connector block to the motor, when the scuttle plates above the blower leaks it runs down the onto this connector block and it corrodes, but if your motor has gone I have a spare, Rick

Mk 1 blower motor inc fan, not worth trying to strip it as fan will break, Rick
