No four wheel drive but light shows its on

hi all time for some more help please, when i put the mav into 4x4 mode only 2 wheel drive is this because its hardly been used ,and can it be easily sorted out cheers paul
 
Dozens of threads on this subject. Most likely is the "Brake rings", remove the auto locking hubs and you'll find a ring that should have some lugs on it's inside edge. These have usually sheared off. Probably just one side that has gone but best to check both. some of us lost patience with Auto Lockers and bought manual lockers from Milners instead, some like the idea others don't. Check out the downloads section as there are two workshops that will be of use even if it just gives you an idea of what it all looks like. One on cleaning the auto locking hubs and the other is instructions on changing to manuals, like I said they will give you an idea of what to look for.

If you go for new rings go to nissan not ford, as they get them from nissan then charge you more:thumbs

You will find all the parts come from nissan:bow
