No Electrics

Help.........went to start her this morning unlocked my door no problem, ignition lights on, came to start her and lost everything, no lights, no radio, no clock, got out shut door interiour light came on, opened door light went off, closed door could not lock door. This happenen about three time then i tried it once more, slamed drivers door, put key in ignition and she started.

does it totally kill everything when you turn the key to start?
the switch on the back of my ignition barrel was worn and just killed everything when i tried to start it.
if i was gentle with the key i could get it to turn over.
got one from breakers for 15 quid and never looked back.

mine also wouldnt lock but that was because i was turning the ignition on and off which put the nats into programme mode so i had to re program the remotes.

Yes it killed everything, as though the battery was disconected.

Check your battery leads, the positive often breaks where it connects to the battery.

Hi, put a new starter on the Troll, after a few weeks and 3Ft river crossing it failed to start. when i turned the key it draged everything down ( lights radio etc) I took it back the the Re-con guy and he tested it and it was fine!! put it down to a bad earth, cleaned everything with emery cloth and gave it a good tighten up and it was fine.
Might be worth taking off cleaning up and re-fitting the starter.

Postive battery terminal was loose, tighten it up, been ok since. Will check and clean eveything first chance i get.

check theres not a crack in the terminal casting letting it work loose
