I've got a 1998 Nissan Terrano Touring 2.7TD. Does anyone know which type of injectors it has or how to tell? Apparently there are two systems that fit my vehicle, one is a bosch system the other a kiki system? I'm trying to source a set of reconditioned injectors and I need to know somehow which ones are fitted to my vehicle.
Thanks
Chris

Bosch system has larger injectors than the Hitachi. Easiest way to tell is to see which maf you have it will say Bosch or Hitachi:thumb2

Nice one! (I take it Kiki is Hitachi) I've looked and the MAF is a Bosch one. Just out of interestis there any way the MAFs are interchangeable because when I bought it from a garage they said that they had changed the MAF and the vehicle has always smoked. Is it pos:bowsible that they have fitted the wrong MAF or is it pokeyoked so the connector cannot fit both?
Hopefully the injectors will fix the problem. It looked like the fuel filter had never been changed since new and the vehicle never serviced. It continually smokes on acceleration.
Thanks again
Chris

hi no Bosch out and Bosch in. I no there are a variety of cars that use Wat looks like the same Bosch maf but no sure if the internals are the same. A set of recon Injecters will be an expensive gamble. :thumb2

Once again thanks for the response. I'm all out of ideas at the moment, it's got a new turbo, new fuel filter fitted, new MAF apparently (looks new), new air filter, checked the banjo filter and there isn't one, cannot find an EGR on this model. The only other things I guess are the fuel pump or maybe a bad earth or poor electrical connector on the engine harness. I thought it may be electrical orientated/poor electrical connection as it looks like the vehicle has been used in a seaside environment as there's corrosion inside the engine bay. I can't find any splits in the air induction system either.
Thanks
