Nissan Patrol

Okay guys, I am looking at a Patrol 3.0 GR Di SE 5dr
I have looked at the specs on this site and it shows around 26 mpg.
Who has one and what is the fuel economy really like...need to know asap cos I am looking over the next few days.

sounds about right mate, maybe a bit more with a light foot,
what year are you looking at? you need to avoid the hand
grenades!

Dadba from here seems to be doing ok so far with his ZD30, but
they say from problem was from 2000 to 2002/3 ish? the navara
was affected to, think jace from here had trouble?

Oh my......think I am changing my mind, this one apparantly had an engine change at 31 thou.

i would ask why the engine was changed?
maybe it was fixed by nissan under warranty and
replaced by the updated engine?
when the time comes it wont stop me buying one, but
i will try to get one made after 2004

ZD30 engine

My x reg Y61 troll has done over 140k's an still going strong (touch wood). Ive adit 4yrs anaz far as l know its the same engine. Bought from Nissan at Howden. Ive blocked EGR, Fit a 3inch stainless steel exhaust, reduced turbo boost and wanting to fit a boost gauge now to adjust correctly. When I bought it, it had 69k on the clock. Im just hoping I do enough to keep her going cos she's a beaut. :wink:

The ZD30 in Navaras didnt have an intercooler which meant they had less problems than the patrol grenades.

Had the same 3.0 engine in my terrano year 2002 covered over 106k not a single problem always serviced well in side service times.
Just got a newer 2007 patrol same 3.0 engine don't expect any problem with this one either.:smile:

However have fitted Turbo Boost gauge, Exhaust Gas temp gauge, and oil Pressure gauge. Before doing any mods..... :smile:
