Nissan Patrol Rear bumper is LWB and SWB the same?

Hi all, as you may have seen i have a plea in the classifieds for a patrol rear bumper... i have found loads of rocking horse Cr@p, skyhooks and tartan paint but no spares for a Nissan Patrol 2001 Y61.

I have however managed to find a scratched bumper part but off a SWB... will this be the same size as the LWB? It doesn't have the light unit or light unit surround! still looking!

May have an option in Oz but awaiting contact. Grr right when i decided to sell it and return to an X-Trail2 SVE LPG + and old T2 for 4x4'in....

any ideas or help guys?

TBH i'm not sure but if they are like a T2 the LWB one is longer at the sides :roll:

Hello Shedlugger, I may have what your looking for, Trouble is its still at the last owners house,
He said it is there and i belive it to be complete, It came of a L reg SWB Patrol.

may be better than postage from OZ.

I have a breakers yard calling me tomorrow but they dont have the light unit.

Would be great to have the complete set. So the answer to this topic is 'YES' then... SWB and LWB quarter bumpers are the same length?

Just in case you cannot track it down it gives me more options.

have you tried nissan? only reason i ask is i just got some for my lwb 45 per side + vat for the chrome ones also got a front on order 195 incl its an M reg get the bolts as well though the old ones are very seized

wants Y61 model 2001 reg, different machines totally

Bumpers and answers

Thanks guys, Nissan have informed me that the SWB and LWB Y61 Quarter bumpers ARE the same. YEAH!

but £165.17 +vat for the bumper (one side) and £127.26 +vat for the light unit!

I have found just the bumper at a dismantlers but they are pi$$ing around getting me a price for it.

I am going to the landroverworldshow to search in the auto jumbles (not normally a traiter but must explore any avenue).

I'll keep the updates coming. all the help is appreciated.

in short the answer is yes. a quick call to the helpfully people at Howards Nissan WSM (I shund wessex Bristol a long time ago and they repeatedly remind me why!).

The Patrol Y61 bumper are identical part numbers for the SWB AND the LWB. thanks for the help and advice.
