Hi all

Having a prob with my abs on my Terrano

I see there is equipment available to carry out self diagnosis

my terrano is a 2002 what do you recommend ,what are the short comings of product and is it simple to set up

All advice welcome

page 37 describes the abs hydraulic circuit , if that helps might also show diagnostics if you look further in the section.

Describe what happen's to the ABS? I'm betting it'll be that pesky NSF sensor cable that's broken.

my abs light is on on the dash but sometimes it goes off but then when i press brake pedal metallic sound and vibration in pedal. Ok if this nsf is issue then how do you find it and repair

this sounds more like you need to check your pads, metallic sound could be metal to metal on the disks, Rick

new pads and discs on maybe my description of sound is not quite right more like a rumble

BR-73 describes the check procedure for the wheel sensors

"CHECK WHEEL SENSOR.
Check each sensor for resistance.
Resistance: Front 0.9 - 1.1 kΩ
Rear 1.44 - 1.76 kΩ"

Have you checked the resistance of the sensors?
The continuity of the wiring?
