Just trying to gauge interest on a similar event to the east Midlands rally but in mid-wales?

Thinking maybe june, july or early august.

I know of a very nice camping/caravan park at a place called devils bridge which would be most likely the meeting place. Theres also a nice pub 2 mins walk down the road called the Hafod arms.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&s...vils+Bridge,+Aberystwyth,+United+Kingdom&z=11

Lanes done would be the famous strata florida. Soar-y-mynydd and around nant-y-moch area. All the lanes are capable in a standard truck.

Great scenery & great lanes. :thumbs

If you don't want to drive the lanes i'm sure you can ride in other peoples vehicles.

Discuss. :augie

i would be interested depending on getting time off
only ? is how wide are some of those lanes as watching the video it looks tight in a terrano and i think my pathy is slightly wider has anyone been up in a patrol:nenau

Theres plenty of room, all sorts of 4x4s go down there.

Me and the Mrs would defo be interested in it, might aim for a long weekend there. Any decent / cheap B&B in the area?

I would prefer to aim for as late in the year as possible though I.e. August / September as I need to make sure our wedding fund kitty keeps full lol!!

There will be interest buddy but as extreme-4x4, makeitfit & myself found nobody will show on the day

I'm only on here now for the banter, help & advice now :thumbs

My off road chat will only be on www.thefourwheeldriveclub.com & www.dirty4x4.net :naughty

Good luck with trying to drum up a trek out :bow

well if we can get the usual suspects out on the sat we will still have fun, Then if anyone else decides to be there. we can arrange something for sunday.

We will see. :D

From here...
You...
Pete aka makeitfit
Nellie aka Neil
& me

That will be it

I'll put at least a day in! We could camp in the forest, no bugger goes up there.

And I'm sure a Pathy isn't much wider than a T2 if at all....and Dadba did Strata in his Troll no problemo.

Well if the old coffin dodger's going I'll be along for a larf :D:lol

We would be interested if we can get enough money for things eg diesel and caravan parks:nenau

I will still try and organise something. End of the day if no one turns out I won't be out of pocket. If one person comes at least it means we can go offroading.

Camping in the forest is a cool idea but weather here is so unpredictable. But I would be up for it.

Stay out of my tent then!

I know a couple of dead end forest tracks that aren't used about eight miles above Rhandirmwyn. Unless there are some nearer to Strata?

Just declared an interest. We've been on many similar meets with fellow Landrover groupies. If the dates fit and we can get there then we will be there. Only issues is I work shifts.. and with three nippers if its outside of School hols then we are stuck as Mrs Elpeede is a Teacher .

i'd be interested if it was over a weekend - bit of a dirve for me for only 1 day

will

Nissan 4x4 event in mid wales

Hi .
Very interested depending on the date.
would drag Tin Tent out of the long grass.:thumb2

it would be 2 days if people were there on sat. Theres plenty of lanes.

I think camping in the forest is probably best left for us locals another weekend. But there is camping at the planned caravan/camping ground.
