Has anyone come across or used parts made by NIPPARTS?

My Beast is in need of a new Idler Arm and Rod Assembly and I came across a site, m.buycarparts.co.uk, and they have these items from a few manufacturers (Asika, Blue Print, Nipparts and a few more).

The price difference is rather big and although cheaper would be nicer, I was wondering if Nipparts are any good.

Mate!!!!! Come on play the game!!!!

Get yourself a steering box butchered and bolted on like we on the island do, the idler arm is the weakest part of the standard Terrano steering setup.

Here's some pics of how we do them :thumb2 I know a man that could sort you out a set of spacers too to space it off the chassis :naughty

Read from this page onwards, it's got lots of good pics too :naughty

Easier said than done over here Banshee. I wish it was like it is with you lot on the "Island"!

Here they are right SOBs at the "MOT" places! Nothing allowed unless it was original for that model etc! Even to the extent that if you were to fix, for arguments sake, some form of sump guard, steering or even diff protection and they want to play silly ruggers, you're well and truly screwed! Even snorkles have to be vetted by the government vehicle department and then put onto the vehicle's log book (as with those protection items, winch different sized tyres etc). If not.....

Bloody hell. They start that over here, we'd all be in trouble:lol

Yep, they're right bastards over here. Let's put it this way, if the local bill take a dislike to you, they can (and often do) make you do a Type "B" inspection and god help you if you have something fitted that isn't original or on the logbook, even so far as spot lights / LED bar on the roof! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
