Welcome, nice looking car. Great colour combo, I just wish that mine had come with roof bars.
The tenner to join is well worth the money and you get to see the secret forum where we talk about the non-payers... ;)

Welcome aboard and a nice looking truck.

Try replacing the rear diff oil but it's really important to use proper Limited Slip Diff oil not just gear oil even with an additive.

Even if the diff oil doesn't resolve your problem it is still a good idea if you do not know for sure the oil had been changed correctly. Of course there are other problems but I'd be starting with that.

Hi and welcome.
3ltr's rule! :thumbs

As above. Oils and a check over.

Ian.

thanks gents only saw it this morning and other than the vibe it seems well worth a 3.5 hour train ride.

so best to join so at least i know whos talking about me seems fair :)
and diff oil, well i was off to mid wests in the morning for bulbd so ill add that to the list..

cheers dub

Nice one you've joined, best tenner you'll spend on the truck:lol friends, banter and advice:thumbs

Check out the downloads in quick links, some cracking how to guides and links to manuals.

Also are you sure the vibration is at the back?

Try changing wheels around front to back too as this should move the vibration if it's one particular tyre.

I had an 05 plate and had a similar problem which turned out to be the front propshaft sliding joint, remove the front propshaft and vibration disappeared.

Anyhoo you're a member now so post away with all your questions, only daft question is the one that doesn't get asked:thumb2

Welcome!

Nice looking truck!

I'm sure I've seen an equally sexy looking truck somewhere else...

...oh wait! Yes, mines the same colour scheme!

:naughty

Gorgeous.

:thumbs

A lot of fun to be had in here, and more information than you can shake a stick at.

:D

Welcome mate

Before you do anything 50mph in my previous experience has usually indicated damaged rear propshaft UJ's (Union Joints)

Get underneath and man handle the prop for any play in the spiders, I'll throw a link up with some pictures so you better understand.

Wow, how on earth did the chassis get into a state like that?

Hope you are good with a welder.

Wow thats bad, My 96 plate mav is in better condition.

How did you not spot this when you bought it??? or was it cheap?

How much MOT is left on it?

That is one hell of a lot of rust  I see the box sections on trailers used to launch boats into the sea look like that all the time but not many cars.
If it is your car I'm very surprised that new MOT is legitimate.
Unless you got it cheap I would be taking it back quick smart and reporting it.

hey guys going to start a new thread in my ride thingy save clogging the newbie section

that's the worst ive ever seen, and its right there for all to see - the MOT station needs reporting mate. I am not sure I would trust the rest of the structure on that car, could be twisted or bent.

How do & welcome along :thumb2 :thumb2

I feel for you mate. Never buy any vehicle without a good look around it.

I don't think I've ever seen a chassis so bad. My old 280ZX wasn't that bad, when I welded it up.
I'd be surprised if you'd find any good steel to weld to for quite distance :( :(
