:clapfound that thanks very much i just have another problem the tyres fitted on mine are 235 75 15 but when i have been looking at other tyre sites when i put my reg in they saying that original manufacturers tyres for vehicle be 215 80 15 or the ones i just said which are better and does anyone know the difference i know the latter are cheaper but what diofference would it make to the handling of the car any help would be great im a novice nissan cheers:thumbs

It's only a difference in height & width.

If your not off roading then the height won't matter to you ;)

205 to 235 & 60 to 70 will be ok :thumbs

cheers for that adz much apreciated because i wont be off roading just yet:bow

I paid £260 for a set of 4 Insa turbo traction trac's. 265 75 16's
Seemed a very tough tyre and unbelievably fab in the snow and ice!
The chap at spondon tyres didnt have a good word to say about kingpin as they landed him with 10 grands worth of dodgey tyres and wouldn't take them back. He had the decency to scrap them instead of punting them cheap and stood the loss.

Supposing your mate fits the tyres with his tyre machine, What about wheel balancing then is that not important ? or will the local garage get um pp again if you take your wheels and new tyres to be balanced ?

Nothing wrong with remoulds, it amazes me how fashion concious people are though.
EG, Insa Turbo/Bronco/Fedima/Kingpin/Recip, etc etc etc, all remoulds, all the same thing, ie. copies of something two or three times the price, but even their prices vary greatly. I've just bought a pair of Kingpin tracker Mud Terrain. Won't say exactly how much for but they were £20 cheaper each than Bronco Rough Riders which are exactly the same thing !
Mucky mate you're not the cheapest but you're not far off . You'll never match the big sellers who buy in bulk unless you can make less profit to start with. Guess you already know that though. Tyre place round the corner reckons he makes more fitting tyres supplied by customers than the does supplying them himself ! He wanted £85 a corner for Insa Turbo Saharas !!

ONLY A FOOL WOULD TRY TO TAKE ON THE BIG SELLERS :lol Thats the same in any market, like Adz was saying Kamskill would rather make a loss than see an order go to another company. You also have to think of cash flow and inventory. The big guys keep stock... were in recession... orders are slow resulting in poor cash flow... how do you make cash flow better... lower your inventory and sell stock off cheaper!

This is the same in the market i'm in with my parts business, how could I compare with the likes of Jack Barclay's... simple... not everyone wants to deal with them, or knows about them, or can be arsed going to them, or have had bad service in the past.

The price of £165 for the 4 has a standard mark up I put on, which easilly beats most tyre suppliers as I simply do not have their overheads resulting in a much lower mark up. Now where I am going to advertise it is very unlikely folk will know about Kamskill or any of the other companies willing to take a loss and are unlikely to be the type of person to start shopping online.
There is also the "buying off someone you know" satisfaction, i've already received two orders from guys off my other forum and I plan to hit my local area hard due to the lack of suppliers and number of 4x4s!

Now as for Kingpin, I have heard mixed feedback about them, as I have many manufacturers! I would always remember as with anything your only going to get what you pay for, want cheap tyres and thats what you'll get!
I now have accounts set up WITH ALL MANUFACTURERS!

MICHELIN, CONTINENTAL, KUMHO, YOKOHAMA, FIRESTONE, GOODYEAR, UNIROYAL, INSA-TURBO, ROADSTONE, FALKEN, DUNLOP, BRIDGESTONE, HANKOOK... the list goes on!

And of course "KINGPIN" for the budget option!

If anyone would like a simple quotation from a friendly helpful tyre supplier who can offer a fitting service, or mail order, dont hesitate to send me a pm :)

Hiya Mucky, I didn't even see the reply with your price :doh
Sorry to say I did get them cheaper, but not by much.

Thats ok, I just stuck a standard mark up on those to see how things compared. I think its only fair for me to offer any member of the club a bit of discount too should they require anything.
I've done a quote via pm for a couple of guys, and did exactly that :thumb2
