Hi,

I want to fit a new radio/cd in the terrano. I know the standard nissan plugs dont fit so I am going to cut them off and wire direct. Has anyone got the wire colour codes for the existing loom?

Noooooooooo,:doh you can get an adapter plug to fit in to the nissan wires, they about £10 max on Flebay. Then you can fit what you want too. Its not worth messing about with for £10 is it, but dont cut the wires. :thumbs

I found this one for you, but check the numbers to make sure it fits your truck first before you buy it.

OK. I just didn't want to pull it all out to check the plugs then put it back again. I'm an electrician so the rewiring would be no hassel but i will try the adaptor first.

Maybe not to you, but think about selling it, maybe to a new owner it would be.

yip, as kamsin says, get a nissan adaptor of ebay, thats where i got one :thumbs got mine cheap

So you're not making any mods at all just in case it causes a problem to the new owner, if and when you decide to sell. I'm sorry but if you buy a 15 year + old vehicle you must expect it not to be 'standard':D

And mine will never see a new owner, i will either drive it into the ground or rip it apart for bits.

I was only trying to be helpful with you and save you some work and pointed out that IF you ever did sell it the new owner would (Im sure) thank you for buying an adaptor for a couple of quid, than him having to re-wire it.

perhaps you should buy him a off road driving course for his birthday:rolleyes:
