I'd just like to recommend this lot for service and price for NEW starters http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/nemesisperformanceuk/?_trksid=p4340.l2559
I bought one off them last year and it was the cheapest NEW one then. Later on before crimbo it started to stick so I rang the suppliers the other day. They sent me a brand new one next day and collected the old one :D
Bloody brilliant, and not once did they ask if it had been underwater or in the mud at all ever :augie
Ho-rah :clap
PS with a 2" body lift the starter comes out the side and is so easy to get to now, I'd say it's quicker to do a body lift and then change the starter than get the std one out :D

good to know, I have the same starter from the same people. So far going strong, after many a dip in strata florida river crossings etc

I found getting the starter back in a pain, especially when it was lubed up :D

Like a slippery sausage

When I broke that old maverick last year I waited until the engine was out before removing the starter. Couldn't see any other way of getting it out :nenau
Mine sticks sometimes, just a sort of dull thud then nothing. Works after a few goes. Again I say :nenau
